The Corps of Cadets: A Tradition of Leadership

The Corps has long been known as the “Keepers of the Spirit and Guardians of Tradition. ” It provides a structured environment focused on developing well-educated leaders of character.

Campus Life & Housing: The Aggie Spirit
The student experience at Texas A&M is defined by its unique traditions and unwavering school spirit.

  • Housing: While freshmen are not required to live on campus, many choose to. Housing is first-come, first-served, so it’s highly recommended that students apply early. The university offers Living Learning Communities that provide academic peer mentors and host events throughout the year.
  • Athletics: As a Division I school, athletics are a huge part of campus life. Students get free admission to football and basketball games, making it easy to join the famous “12th Man” at Kyle Field.
  • Student Organizations: With over 1,000 student organizations, there is something for everyone. While it’s generally easy to join clubs, some, like club soccer, can be competitive.
