UC Application-Completion and Review
The UC Application Package includes the following:
Application Strategy & Timeline Management
What it includes:
- Discuss the student’s academic profile, interests, and goals.
- Review student’s transcript and extracurricular activities, identify strengths and discuss any areas for improvement.
- Create a realistic timeline /deadline for the UC application.
- Discussion on majors.
UC Personal Insight Questions (PIQs):
What it includes:
- Brainstorming sessions to help the student identify the 4 PIQ prompts that best highlight their experiences and personality.
- Guidance on structuring PIQs.
- Feedback on student drafts and editing for improvement
Activities and Awards
What it includes:
- Brainstorm extracurricular activities, volunteer work, employment, and awards.
- Guidance on how to best describe each activity to demonstrate leadership, commitment, and personal growth.
- Help in prioritizing the 20 activities to create an impactful list.
CSU Application (Cal State Apply) Completion & Review
What it includes:
- Guided sessions to ensure the student accurately enters all of their coursework, grades, and other academic information.
- Thorough review of the entire application to check for accuracy and completeness before submission.
- Review completion of various campuses and majors
Final Application Review & Submission Strategy
A comprehensive review of both the completed UC and CSU applications.
- Final review for any errors, inconsistencies, or missed opportunities.
- Guidance on the best time to submit each application (e.g., well before the November 30th deadline).
Decision Counseling: A final meeting with parents to help the student weigh their admission offers and make their final college choice.
Two Parent Meetings Included
- Parent Meeting 1: 1 month after package starts to review list of UCs and CSUs, application strategy, majors
- April-Review Decisions with Parents and Student
Optional Add-Ons to the Package (Ala-carte)
Waitlist & Appeal Support: Assistance in crafting letters of continued interest or appeals, should the student be waitlisted or denied.
