A selective, religious, mid-size private university in Atlanta Georgia is a popular school for many students. The university has a strong association with Coca Cola and is a large employer in Atlanta. The campus has a bustling yet intimate feel and there are lots of opportunities for students to get involved.

 

Admissions Process: GPA, Rigor of curriculum, recommendations, talent/ ability, essays, test scores and volunteer experience are all considered in the process. 67% applicants submitted SAT/ ACT scores. International applicants were 24%. Emory meets full demonstrated need. Merit-scholarships are also awarded.

 

Majors: Popular majors at Emory include STEM, like Biology, Neuroscience, Nursing Applied Math, Anthropology, Quantitative Sciences, and also Business, Economics, Human Health, Spanish, Political Science, English and Creative Writing and Journalism to name a few. Its school of nursing is highly rated and the English and creative writing program is nationally renowned. Opportunities for research are available. Students-Around 30% undergraduates are from the Southeast, 25% are from mid-Atlantic and nearly 20% are international students. 25% students are Asian American, 13% Black and 12% Hispanic and Latinos. Campus life is vibrant and students find a balance between academic rigor and social life on campus.
