Admissions-Test Optional since 2012, Offers Early Action, Early Decision and Regular Decision. Academics, extracurriculars, community involvement, leadership work experience and contribution to family, recommendations, special circumstances are all considered in the admission process. Connecting with Ithaca in many ways is encouraged before students apply.

 

Majors-70+ undergraduate majors and minors offered and 12 graduate degrees. Best known for its Park School of Communication and its film, theatre arts programs. Ithaca’s student-run newspaper, The Ithacan, and radio stations often win awards at regional and national levels for their news and sports coverage.

 

Most selective majors include Music, Communications, Theatre, Physical and Occupational Therapy. ¼ of Ithaca students enter through Exploratory Program, without selecting a major initially.

 

Students: Ithaca students are creative, engaged, mellow, outdoorsy. Students comprise approx. 53% women and 46% men and a large population of out of state students. Ithaca has  BIPOC Unity Center, Center for LGBT Education, Outreach and Services and has inclusive programs for LGBTQ + students.
