The Oxford College of Emory University is a small, intimate undergraduate college with about 1000 freshmen and sophomores with ample opportunities for leadership. It is the historic home
of Emory University. Oxford College, lies 45 minutes away from Emory and is a great college for students seeking a liberal arts experience with plenty of unique academic opportunities. After completing their two years, students continue to Emory as Juniors.
Admissions Process: Evaluation of applicants is comprehensive and holistic. Academics, extracurricular, leadership, community involvement, essays and letters of recommendations all factor into decisions. Demonstrated interest is not a factor in the application review process. Emory University does not require standardized tests for first-year or transfer students who plan to enroll in fall 2025. 67% of total applicants submitted test scores in the 2024 cycle. Oxford enrolled about 50% of their class through early admission. Both Oxford and Emory are Division III schools and do not offer athletic scholarships.
Majors: Oxford College is a liberal arts college within a major research university. Two years at Oxford is a great start for students working towards a major of their choice, students can study one or more of Emory’s 80+ majors and 60+ minors for their degree. Students can fulfill Emory’s General Education Requirements at Oxford.
Students- The spirit of Oxford lies in its community. Students learn through community engagement, global travel abroad, and through student research, applied arts and internships. There are 80 clubs and student organizations, 65% of students hold leadership positions.
Approximately 15% are international students. The percentage of total international applicants who applied in the 2024 cycle were 29% with a large number coming from China, India, South Korea, Ghana and Canada.
