Union College is a small, private, residential , liberal arts college close to Vermont, committed to undergraduate research with a tight, close-knit student community.
Admissions Process: Union offers Early Decision, Early Action and Regular Decision. Union is test-optional except for their combined law and medical program. Interviews are encouraged. Early Decision is favored in the process. The FAFSA and CSS Profile are required for need-based aid consideration. More than 50% of students receive need-based aid and over 30% receive merit scholarships.
Majors: Union offers 63 majors and minors. 85% of students complete at least 1 internship and 80% of students do faculty mentored research. 75% of students do a double major or a minor. Academics are strong but not overwhelmingly rigorous. Union has an Early Assurance Program with SUNY Albany.
Students- There are 2500 undergraduates, 130 student groups and clubs on campus. Union is D1 in ice-hockey and D3 in all other sports.⅓ of Union students are from New York and 10% are international. The Minerva House system on campus contributes to the social and intellectual fabric helping students interact and engage and collaborate.
